Our WHY and why it is so important to us
Our ethos at Marvel FMCG is to always give back, this was the drive behind us setting up the business. Unlike the profit driven recruiters of the past we wanted to create a business that was a force for good; ensuring that through every contact we give back, whether that is making donations to charity, contributing to wider community projects or truly supporting the individuals and businesses that we work with.
Alzheimer’s Society
We are really proud of our partnership with Alzheimer’s Society and the opportunity that this provides us to truly make a difference. For every candidate that we place 1% of their annual salary will be donated to Alzheimer’s Society.
Why Alzheimer’s Society?
Alzheimer’s Society is a charity that is very close to our hearts. Our founder Rich Howell explains why; “My father died of Alzheimer’s on Christmas Day 2016. Having watched him deal with the illness for 7 years, my family faced multiple challenges and heartache. I have always wanted to do something significant to honour him and support the charity and with Marvel FMCG, we can really contribute and give back.”
Dementia in the UK
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity, that campaign for change, fund research and find a cure and support people living with dementia today. Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer with dementia deaths rising year on year, 225,000 people will develop dementia this year – that’s one every 3 minutes.
People with dementia have been worst hit by coronavirus. Over a quarter or coronavirus deaths have been people living with dementia, and many more have been so badly affected by lockdown – isolated not only from social contact but also essential health and care support.

There are lots of different ways you can get involved and support Alzheimer’s Society, here are two events that you can take part in this month.
Get tickets to join ‘Jokes on you’ a very special evening of comedy that Alzheimer’s Society’s are hosting on Thursday 11 March at 7pm.
