We are working with an industry renowned and highly respected FMCG business with a strong heritage and growing product portfolio.

 

As the business continues to expand across the wholesale, licensed and foodservice channels, they are now looking for a Business Development Executive to join their commercial team and help drive sustainable growth across key Route to Market (RTM) partners and end users.

The Job…

As Business Development Executive you will be responsible for driving profitable growth across licensed and foodservice accounts through both end users and wholesale Route to Market partners.

You’ll focus on developing strong long-term relationships with customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities across the RTM channel. Alongside account development, you will work closely with senior members of the commercial team to support joint business plans and deliver sustainable growth across the portfolio.

 

A key element of the role will involve developing a category and insight-led approach when engaging with customers, ensuring the product portfolio remains front of mind and aligned with customer needs. You’ll also support the RTM team with key initiatives including promotional submissions, marketing activity and trade events.

 

You’ll collaborate closely with internal departments including Marketing, Product Development, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure customer plans are delivered effectively.

 

In addition, you’ll maintain strong external relationships with distributor partners and brand stakeholders, while proactively identifying new opportunities to expand distribution and grow the business across the wholesale and foodservice channels.

You…

  • Experience within an FMCG sales or commercial environment, ideally working with wholesale, foodservice or route-to-market customers.
  • A strong track record of building customer relationships and developing accounts to drive sustainable growth.
  • Commercially minded with good negotiation skills and the confidence to engage with customer decision makers.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage forecasting, planning and customer activity effectively.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys identifying new business opportunities.
